Exploring Possibility in the Urban Realm

In addition to planning, zoning, and development approvals, Thrill produces concept studies that explore how buildings, streets, and public spaces might evolve.

Many urban spaces – from blank walls and underused street edges to vehicle-oriented corridors – have untapped potential to become more welcoming, active, and memorable places that strengthen public life, neighbourhoods, and the downtown.

Using a combination of hand-created artwork, digital compositing, and AI-assisted visual studies, Thrill explores potential directions for urban renewal and placemaking. The examples shown here illustrate a range of approaches — from façade enhancement and streetscape revitalization to shared streets, storefront renewal, and public space animation. These independent explorations are intended to spark conversation and demonstrate possibilities, not proposals for any particular site, building, or organization. In project work, Thrill aims to strengthen the unique character of each place and the cultural context in which it sits.
